At Guy’s Glass and Mirror, we have been serving the Emerald Coast with professional glass shower enclosure services for over 40 years. The years of experience along with prolonged customer relationships has given us the great opportunity to gain valuable feedback from our customers like you. One thing we hear time and time again when installing glass shower enclosures is, “How should I keep my new glass shower doors clean?” In this post we offer a few tips on how to help keep your shower looking as good as the day it was installed.
With over 40 years in the glass shower enclosure industry, we have had the opportunity to provide great techniques to protect your glass and cut down on the amount of time and energy you have to spend cleaning. To cut down on the time you have to spend cleaning, we recommend using a glass protectant, such as EnduroShield, which we sell to our customers here at Guy’s Glass and Mirror. This product helps to create a long-lasting shield for your glass surfaces which can help to reduce the soap scum and residue buildup. A glass shower enclosure for your bathroom can be an excellent investment when you are looking to add a touch of modern elegance to your space. With a simple EnduroShield treatment, water and particles will glide right off of your surfaces cutting down on buildup and overall cleaning time. Contact Guy’s Glass and Mirror if you have any questions about the effectiveness of this product or would like to try it in your home.
One of the easiest ways to keep your glass shower doors looking clean and shiny is to wipe away any residue after you shower. Hard water stains come from after the water has evaporated and the mineral deposits have been left on the surface. Wiping the doors dry with a hand towel or squeegee after you shower can help keep these residues from building up.
Living in Florida, we know how difficult it can be to remove hard water stains once they have settled on bathroom surfaces. Your glass shower doors will be no different. For an easy way to keep hard water stains from piling up on your doors, combine 1 parts vinegar with 6 parts water in a clean spray bottle. Spray on the glass surfaces and let sit for a few minutes. After this mixture has set for a few minutes, wipe off in a circular motion with a clean sponge. You may have to adjust the mixture proportions according to how long the hard water stains have been on your doors.
